The Cuban art market is highly speculative. We encourage potential buyers to buy
art that they really like and not for an investment. If the collector does come
across a Cuban art dealer who is making claims that the art he/she is selling
is represented in certain galleries or museums, we encourage you to investigate
those claims thoroughly. If you find an artist that is represented by a gallery,
then make sure that the gallery is respected and has experience. Big city (New
York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami) exposure is also a plus.
